This is the first book that I can remember reading from cover to cover so quickly. I believe Burgess Owens fills in many gaps of black history that my public school education ignored. Having grown up in the inner city of Chicago, I have first hand knowledge of the vicious cycle that liberalism has misguidedly wrought on the African-American community. We need leaders that can help breathe hope into our communities, not fear and hate--thanks for the breath of hope Mr Burgess Owens through the writing of this book! This book is a must read for all people who care about the success of the African-American community. If you can keep an open mind and remain objective, you will discover an awakening that will provoke you to want to make a positive difference in the African-American community.Product details

Reasonable Fear Joe Dillard Book 4 (Audible Audio Edition) Scott Pratt Tim Campbell A Scott Pratt Books Reviews
Burgess Owens has tapped into the depths of the results and reasons for the decline of Blacks in America over the last century. He has a no-holds-barred approach to exposing the truth of the stealth agendas of Liberalism's attack dogs, "those behind the curtain", namely, Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, BET and other organizations. This book is a primer on the history of Black repression since Slavery was abolished and, at the same time, a clarion call to Blacks to return to common sense, independence, free thinking, Black Manhood, Black Womanhood and God. This is an important book - a must read for those who wish to be enlightened on the reasons for today's most urgent problems in the Black community and how they might be resolved.
I will read every book written by Scott Pratt. I love the Joe Dillard series - using one man throughout - because he becomes a part of you - his cases, his personal life. It is all written in such a manner that you can literally not put the book down. I read each one in l day or at the most 2 days. Scott's writing is compared favorably to John Grisham whom I also love. The plots are fascinating but are written without swearing, without explicit sexual scenes. Joe Dillard is very human, believes in God altho he struggles with it, sincerely loves his family - wife, 2 grown children, a sister and sticks by them thru thick and sin. I will not review the other books (I have read 1 - 6) as this review says it all.
If you want to get an incredible perspective on how progressivism has oppressed minorities and kept them in the inner cities and on welfare, this is an incredible read. So much of our history is being taught and presented through a political lens that we don't even understand it anymore. Most Americans know that Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, but fewer know that Democrats fought him tooth and nail. Same goes with the abolition of Jim Crow laws and desegregation during the Civil Rights movement, This book shows incredible evidence and compelling arguments how it was the progressives who fought against equality for all races and the "Evil Right" championed the end of government sponsored racism.
Owens has an accessible writing style that makes this book a joy to read.
I've listened to Owens' opinions on Fox News many times and was intrigued by his comments. While not rare, Black, male, conservatives aren't growing on trees so reading what this man has to say matters.
What he has to say is pretty much what I've been able to observe on my own. However, confirmation of what I feel as a White male conservative, by a Black male conservative gave credence to my opinions. While this book has an underlying theme of racial issues, it's a lot more about Liberalism, and how it has hurt our country in general. I consider myself well-informed on American history, but Owens revealed a few facts (and they are indeed facts) of which I was unaware. Reading about the origins of the NAACP and Planned Parenthood alone are worth the price of this book.
This book is a "must-read" for every man, regardless of race. It can open up their eyes to what they choose not to see or even WANT to see.
Why not five stars? That has nothing to do with Owens' thoughts, but whoever edited this book should be fired for incompetence.
